Organization Overview

The Brothers Grimm Society of North America is literary, nonprofit (501)(c)(3) public benefit corporation founded by Prof. em. Margrit Zinggeler, Eastern Michigan University, Prof. Claudia Schwabe, Utah State University, and Prof. Julie Koehler, Michigan State University in 2021. The mission of the corporation is “to encourage and promote the study and research of all aspects of the legacy and the spirit of the brothers Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, their works, their lives, their period, and the historic and contemporary dissemination of the Grimm’s Fairy Tales” in North America. An important aspect is educational programs and the proliferation of storytelling.
